Every new car and yall scream Z28.

I say its just another level of the ZL1.

Gm isnt going to offer a Z28 in the 5thgen.

imo the Z28 will one day return but not as a 5thgen maybe a 6th or ??????

Perhaps it is the angle...but the offset of the wheels on the test car looks deeper than the wheels above. Are there any more pictures of this black car anywhere?

I'll say it, I don't believe this car has anything to do with the ZL1. I bet there are Z/28 parts in that car, or possibly a test DI V8.
I could be wrong, but optimism springs eternal in me.

In this day / economy imo a ZL1 and Z28 together wouldnt be the best thing for GM as a automaker.

GM is pushing the ZL1 right now.

I agree with the cut open part... looks like a super rough prototype because the hole doesn't seem straight on top.

That said, to me the hood looks different. First off, it looks like there are dividers or a grille in the 'cut' part - it isn't just a hole. It looks to not fit as well on the car (prototype?) Maybe it is all carbon fiber? There look to be details around the 'mohawk' and new cut out that indicate it is different, because this is smooth on the ZL1 hoods we've seen. Last but not least, it is pinned on.

I don't understand why some of you think the Z28 is out of the question. Between the SS and ZL1 the parts are 90% there already.

The good news is, they are still testing and tweaking.

Like my dad always said," slow and right is better than fast and wrong when it comes to high performance cars' tweaking".

So with that said, GM, keep up the great work of gathering that data to make the best and most potent camaro yet to date.
