Did you see the "why did you lock the thread" thread. It got pretty heated in there. Triple A and I started bashing them about locking the other thread and they just said its because its a family site and yadda yadda. Whatever. Theyre not all bad. That guy just had something to prove apparently.

I was in my early 20's when I bought my first Camaro, now I just turned 50. This is my fourth Camaro along with a long list of muscle cars. I'm a car guy, if you're a car guy, we might have things to talk about. Don't rule everyone out over 40 just because we don't listen to the same music.

I don't think it's as much that as its so impractical a car. I'm 40, and just bought mine a year ago. I could have afforded one 15 years ago, but with a wife and 3 kids the only way I was going to be able to have one was if it was purely and extra vehicle to play in. but at that age there are far too many things that need purchased or saved for to be using money for a toy.
even before the wife and kids came along I was more concerned about getting my own place and stuff like that. I guess times have changed now though. kids (if you can call them that) stay at home till there in there 30's.

I'm 24 and I never have an issue getting along with other Camaro owners (or any car enthusiast) regardless of their age

I am also one of those old guys. I have attend many car gathering with Camaro guys here in San Diego and most of the guys are under 30. I bet 80 percent would be a good estimate. Age is relative because you are as old as you feel. Come on down to San Diego for some of our events.!!!!!!

Here in tampa our club is half and half. I'm 28 and we have 3 members older than me and 5 same age or younger. May just be you need to look for another club or it was a bad event

Now I feel old, I've lived over 40 longer than a lot of you have lived at all.

I'm 30 now. I can get along with pretty much anyone that's into cars because they like/enjoy driving/modifying performance oriented cars. I generally clash with people who buy cars to "fit into" a certain lifestyle. My previous club was a LS powered Rx7 group and it was great. Everyone there built their car themselves, we were all more or less some level of Engineer/mechanic types and we all clicked. There is a much wider range of Camaro owners.

I don't pre-judge anyone, regardless of age, but it doesn't take much conversation usually to figure it out.
