Will not matter, they will disconnect it before the wheels are even rolling.

Is Canada as easy going on thugs as liberal judges are here in the USA ? Even if car
thieves are caught here they seem to be out in a day or two and then its plea bargained
down. Sad where we have gotten too in this country.

I did call onstar today and they try to help me out even if I did not renew my subscription since the end of 2014. They told me that if I would of upgrade my olfd 2gte system in my 2010 with the new 4g system they could of located it even if I was not paying for it. But I did not do it since you had to go the dealer and pay the cost to replace the unit with thier new 4g....that is if they did not unplug or disabled it before...

Oh come on. Be fair. Everybody needs a 7th chance to rob, rape and murder.

I'm so sorry this happened to you OP. I know how much these cars mean to us. Best of luck my friend.

I am so sorry. That sinking feeling is familiar to me as well. A couple of things to consider is that if it is recovered it may be stripped or best case scenario badly damaged. Prepare for the worst, pray for the best.

The only thing that I have researched that would appear to work is from a company called Ravelco. http://www.ravelco.com/

Check it out. I keep mine locked in my locked garage, not that that is the best solution as well, but a little better than parking it out in the open.

I guess you need to be stolen once before you get interested in security. This ravelco seems like a must for our cars.

I kind of figured you were going to say that. I'm thinking of going for it myself. I do like the claim "never had one stolen." From what I have read, you can park your next Camaro right in FRONT of the chop shop with this baby and go away for a week or two. Try as they might, the only way to take the car would be to drag it up on a flatbed.

From what I have read on here, Ravelco can be easily (for a pro that is) defeated as well. Layered protection is the best. However, like the old saying goes, if they want it bad enough, they will take it. Just have to make it harder to take than the next guy.

Go do it! install anything you think will prevent thieves to have it easy.
At least you will have that feeling you tried to protect it even if they manage to steal it.
It's probably better then the feeling I have right now...

I used to have a garage the first 3 years of ownership, but we've moved to a house without it in the suburb's. My family has growned, I've meat my wife in the first year I got this car and we have 3 Sons now. It was a blast to drive all of the 93348km in this car with her & my kid in the back. I was hoping one day They could of drove it to the prom or somewhere 20 years from now...like in the movie Gran Torino...I guess is was not meant to happen... stupid dream of mine.
