The worlds 3 biggest lies.....The checks in the mail...I won't .....in your .....and Black is Beautiful....for only 5 minutes. Black cars need a garage period. If your black car sits outside forgetaboutit. Been doing autobody / painting / collision work for the last 39 years...and charge a lot more $$$ for black finishes. My sons camaro is Black...he says ...it will be his last ..LOL

It will drive you insane. I had a black 2012 1LT. After 7 months of constant frustration trying to keep it clean, I traded for a silver 2013 1SS. Never again will I own a black vehicle. NEVER!

We can't answer your question OP. The black car will either be worth it to you (like me) or it will be too much trouble (like Palmer).

Always looks great, but I recommend getting a clear bra wrap to maybe try and help you some on lowering the crazy-high maintenance. I bought a used 2010 black SS, but the last owner trashed the paint (surface scratches, marring galore), so I wrapped it to cover it up since I didn't have the cash to have it all corrected.

Just get a car cover, I wash my car dry it, put it in the garage and the cover goes on now. Really quick and easy to put on. If it is your daily driver the cover will probably be too much of a pain but it does keep the car super clean.

Yeppy. I love my black 2SS. I wouldn't go any other color. Plus, I think black offers a little more as far as color customization with stripes and whatnot. I would definitely do it again. I try to wash mine at least once a week, once every two weeks, something like that. Roads around here are pretty bad and the pollen is the worst but when that car is clean.... Sooo worth it! Breakin' necks left and right.

If your goal is show car perfect, then it may cause you to go nuts, but if want a car that looks show gar good from 10 feet or more (also know as real life), the black will be fine. If I have one black complaint, it is the 1LE black wheels. I did not think they would be so hard to keep clean! For the last 20 plus years, we have had at least one black vehicle. In fact, my wife's pearl Avalanche is the first non black vehicle in some time. If you want black, get black.

Go with Silver. It shows light dust/dirt the least.

I have a black LT2 RS. I find it worth it to run her thru a touchless car wash every time I fill her up with gas (once a week). It runs me $36 a month. And I wash by hand once a month, weather permitting. I think all Camaro's look great, but I love mine best.....

My car is mixed, just enough black. Living on a farm, I would suggest a lighter color.
