Definitely a V6 model with the dual mode exhaust...unless they are going to offer quad tips on a turbo 4 model as well that could be a possibility? Would be nice to hear from the photographer what the car sounded like.

One thing is for sure....this car needs a dovetail spoiler just like the 5th gen. I don't really want the raised spoiler either that we've seen in other shots....a dovetail it will be. If not offered from factory, that will be one of my first mods assuming there is decent aftermarket options out there.

I'm surprised that you guys are surprised with there being 20s" on this car. 20's still work on the car just fine, and look great. 19s should look great as well. I will be going with 20's for sure....but never any larger. Also, I'm willing to bet this exact rim style will end up on the car as well, but likely in a polished color instead of black.

Overall, the car looks great, but I'm really praying once the camo comes off, there will be further details and lines revealed that we still have no clue about. I want the 6th gen to be aggressive looking like the 5th....not toned down.
i was also kind of surprised by the amount of people surprised it had 20" wheels....why is that surprising?

First time I have noticed the ridge that is on the side of the rear window and continues up the edges of the roof. Looks like the rear window is recessed more at the bottom.

I feel the same. If this is the new gen 6 I can already hear the critics: "more evolutionary than revolutionary". Sounds familiar?

Noticed that too, maybe to correct rear vision issues?

Anyone notice the middle of the roof has deeper intention than on the 5th gen now? More aero tuning it seems/

Look at the last picture. Double body lines under the headlight. Looks interesting...

Unsprung weight reduction with smaller wheels/tires and therefore more performance. I was hoping 18" or 19" as well...

Well one third said they didn't want it to change much from the 5th gen and the another third said they wanted it to be radically different from the 5th gen, the last third didn't care about the looks as long as it kicks the Mustangs Ass.... So what could they do, there is going to be at least one third disappointed no matter what GM did to the Camaro.

All good points, I agree. Personally I wish it looked more like '10-'13 rather than '14-'15, but it's very clear now it looks VERY close to the '14-'15's.
That's for the exterior. Now, interior/chassis/performance might be a completely different story that could and would blend the three groups toghether

Yes the interior everyone wanted an improvement but people differ on what the improvement should be, should it remain more retro with an improvement in materials or should it be ultra modern with all the bells and whistles... Not everyone will be happy with the interior no matter what they do there either.

At least with the interiors there is some play as one may order different options/packages as best suits his/her style. I am more into retro and quality, no extra nannies needed for me (i.e. auto windshield wipers, change lane assist, auto parking, etc.).

OP: thanks for the pictures, very nice closeups.

This does look like a NON-V8 model - those should have a honeycomb grill right?

Also for all those who don't like the looks:

If this is a V6 model, it may not have the same aero/body kits as V8 and FI models will have - a 5th gen a ZL1 looks a lot different than an SS model, heck a 1LE for that matter looks different (and much better IMO) - so maybe you don't like the v6, but perhaps the higher trims will do it for you.

That is not true in the 5th Gen is it?

and...I hope you are correct - I believe you when you say you have some inside knowledge - i think you said over on LS1-Tech that you worked on the 6th Gen ZL1 suspension or something right?

so...can't wait to find out
