I did a little better than that, but it wasn't because of the rebates. Some dealers will forge documents, yes; however I don't want dirty money and I don't ever want that coming back to me in an audit with my signatures all over it. YMMV!

Also I think I really like the new hood.. I wonder if the character lines on it line up with the 2016-2018 front bumper? I'd swap it if everything lined up properly.

The only potential audit would be on the dealer end answering to GM, not on the consumer level. I didn't sign anything out of the ordinary , just the typical DMV, Mileage, and contract paperwork. Nothing having to do with incentives.

No risk on the consumer level. Whatever the dealer does, that's on them.

I prefer to keep everything clean on my end and I have issues trusting a dealer that would forge documents anyhow.

And all rebates/incentives are detailed on the bill of sale here in my state as well as Texas.

Well, whatever. It's beyond my level of caring. I got the deal I wanted.

Just saying some dealers will do it if they are motivated to sell. So, you can potentially get all those rebates listed, even if you don't qualify. That was the point of my comment.

I get the point, but some is not all and these situations vary by customer and dealership. My original post was to point out that you MAY NOT qualify for all rebates, yours is to point out that you maybe can... we're not saying anything terribly different here.

Best bang for the Buck, period.

I just bought my 18' from Bob Bell. This car and my car were both on the lot, same options and price. The $36K price is with every discount and incentive GM offered. I got mine for $38k, I didn't qualify for one incentive (I needed to currently own or have owned a mustang).


I did not want to wait until the 1LE dealer inventory dried up. The deal I got motivated me to move on it. There will be a few left on lots that some lucky people will snap up with deeper discounts than I got at some point soon.

IMHO the 18' MY looks better than the 19'.
