Judging by your reply you are very insecure for good reason. |

ok, so I've been hearing rumors of a DOHC engine that GM is working on, and now that the unwritten rule that the Camaro can't have as much or more horsepower than the corvette seems to have been broken... does anyone think a DOHC 427 might be in it? maybe they premiere it on the ZR1 and then let the Z/28 have it?
just spit-balling some ideas

What makes you say the rule is broken? The ZL1 and Z06 have the same power. The VIN card said DOHC but it was a preliminary card and may have been wrong. We shall see when the LT5 is announced.

2017 Geneva Auto Show Concept Reveal Tuesday
Judging from the teaser image with the carbon ceramic brakes and official verbage of "Camaro Track concept"...the 6th Gen may have a Z28 in its future. Whatever this car is, we'll all know more this Tuesday.
http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...d-geneva-debut "At the 2017 Geneva auto show, Chevy will unveil the Camaro Track concept. Partially revealed in this teaser shot, the concept appears to be based on the Camaro SS but fitted with go-fast goodies from the track-focused 1LE package." |

Those rotors are the standard 1LE cast iron. At best, this thing may come with more power and some serious weight reduction as a concept for how owners may upgrade their 1LE but I don't see it being a Z/28.

Rumors about the DOHC V8 have shifted from 6.2L NA to 5.5L, possibly turbocharged. If it is turbocharged there probably will not be a NA version as turbocharged engines are purpose built these days with exhaust between the heads. Actually, a 4L twin turbo V8 should be on the table as this setup is used by Ferrari, Audi, Bentley, AMG and others.

With a Geneva debut I wouldn't be surprised if it's a EU focused trim.

EU would lean towards a lower displacement turbocharged V8. If Ferrari can do it, so can GM.

This is as reliable as anything we've seen so far. It can't be any worse than the folly of predicting a Z/28 that's happened to date...
Possible answers[edit] The 20 answers inside a standard Magic 8-Ball are: ● It is certain ● It is decidedly so ● Without a doubt ● Yes definitely ● You may rely on it ● As I see it, yes ● Most likely ● Outlook good ● Yes ● Signs point to yes ● Reply hazy try again ● Ask again later ● Better not tell you now ● Cannot predict now ● Concentrate and ask again ● Don't count on it ● My reply is no ● My sources say no ● Outlook not so good ● Very doubtful Ten of the possible answers are affirmative (●), five are negative (●), and five are non-committal (●). |

I would say no chance of a DOHC bigger than 5.5 liters and possibly 4 L turbocharged.
