Bingo! Here's another version of the same explanation, but with diagrams...

Thanks, Elie!

Maybe...because this is being discussed in the very first official 6th-gen website thread, no 6th-gen owners will have blind spots ever again!

Eh, it would still be nice to have blind spot assist, because you never know when someone will race up to your side and you're thinking about going to the next lane.

GM says that the Camaro 6 is going to lose about 200 pounds compared to the Camaro 5, that should at least keep weight about the same compared to the S550 Mustang.

It looks like we're getting pictures of the brake rotors and another suspension piece on the 9th.

But - I wonder how many drivers just need to adjusting the mirrors properly?

I have 0...ZERO...blind spots while driving my car. And I've been driving this thing every day for the past 3 years. I can see the guy the lane next to me coming up from behind in my rear-view, then as he pulls closer he's in both my rear view and side view mirrors, then as he comes along side me, I can see him in both my side view mirror and peripheral vision. Then, finally, I speed up so he doesn't pass completely. (just kidding)

But in all seriousness...no blind spots. The side view mirrors should not show the sides of the car. I promise, the car will come with you as you drive it - no need to keep an eye on it with the mirrors. You should just barely be able to see sheet metal by physically moving your head. And proper driving technique before a lane change is to turn your head for visual confirmation, anyways.

...Now I'm derailing the thread.
Lack of visibility includes not being able to see the stop light or the sky out the side window. All issues with a marginal green house chop for style. Blind spot is the least of the issues as mirrors will take care of most of that.

As for stop lights I just tilt my head or stop a little farther back. And why do you need to see the sky? If you do get a sun roof or Convertible.
My biggest visibility complaint is because of the low seating position and the long hood, topping a hill around here can sometimes be scary, you can lose site of the road for a couple seconds.

Fixed.

Stop lights, I just stop farther back. My company makes us stop a full carlength back anyways cause if you get rear ended, you are less likely to be pushed into oncoming traffic.

Makes sense to me.

Edit: is it farther or further? Damnit

Stop further back for the light...and I wasn't aware our cars could fly...we need to see the sky? (Just razzing you...but a little serious)

According to Webster's Online Dictionary
"Farther and further have been used more or less interchangeably throughout most of their history, but currently they are showing signs of diverging. As adverbs they continue to be used interchangeably whenever spatial, temporal, or metaphorical distance is involved. But where there is no notion of distance, further is used <our techniques can be further refined>. Further is also used as a sentence modifier <further, the workshop participants were scarcely optimistic — L. B. Mayhew>, but farther is not. A polarizing process appears to be taking place in their adjective use. Farther is taking over the meaning of distance <the farther shore> and further the meaning of addition <needed no further invitation>."

I doubt it since Kelly and Michael are not located in Detroit.
