Chemical Guys Meticulous Matte Detailer is great to use after washing to make it spotless. If you live in an area with hard water, like when I lived in Southern California, you need to be fast and dry the hood immediately after washing with soap and water to prevent water spots. There will almost always be some even with that method but it will be minimal. I would not recommend any sealants or waxes after cleaning if you want to maintain the matte finish, as they will cause it to shine. The wrap is pretty rugged and doesn't really need any protectants anyways.
The stuff I linked above in post 6 doesn't add any shine, it was the only stuff I used that didn't...

I did some low cost stripes on my hood.
I have polished them and spray waxed them.
No issues.
Just be careful to dry quickly to avoid spots and apply evenly.

Yep, how do you like the mosaic black vs black. I wanted a black car and the dealer already had an order into the factory for mosaic, so I took that to speed up delivery. I had a black vette years ago, and while a PITA to keep clean, it looked so good when it was.

What are folks using to get bugs off of the hood wrap? I washed it and the bugs are gone. But, there is still a trace they were there. The water does not bead up the same way over the where the bug was. Does the Adams product fix this?

Best thing to get is a leather/vinyl cleaner protector. It will bring it like new.

Try bead maker. It's awesome. No streaks or spots on my wrap and it beads up almost as good as my ceramic coated paint.

Bead maker is good stuff. I just wish it was more durable. It's the best drying aid I've ever used though.

I ahven't needed anything besides Gold Class shampoo and a chamois. I have some matte detailer from Chem Guys I think it is but have used it just once and didn't see the need.

Has anyone ever removed the factory vinyl wrap from their hood and had it repainted?

I was thinking of doing that with my Summit white 18 1LE.

Have it painted gloss black.

I think I could live with a partial black car on my Gravel dusty road.

It would only take a minute or two too dust the black hood after every time I took the car out.

There is a older thread on here where at least 1 person has done it and it looks great. Do a search.

I guess I'm not seeing any fading issues or any difference in my hood wrap since the day I took delivery for one big reason. Even though I have under two thousand miles, and am coming up on two years of ownership, the last time this car saw sunlight was when she was sitting at the dealership and I drove her home. She's been in the garage ever since. I only take her out at night. And, I've only washed her a handful of times during the rain. Lol
