I painted mine black with all the silver trim pieces. Like mentioned above, it's a pain in the butt and there are a ton of tiny screws on the back. I'm very glad I did it, and def happy with how it came out. Sorry, I don't have a good quality picture of it all.

I can't vouch for Lupe` and his spelling or wording but I can say his work is second to none. I met him at the very first CamaroFest here in Indy and he was selling his products left and right to all who came by his car which he did himself and is a work of art. He takes great care in his painting and design work.

I do understand not taking responsibility for the electronics on the head or face plate of the radio but it is something you can probably do yourself which I plan to do to mine when it warms up. I just want to paint the framing of the faceplate RJT. Some have painted the entire thing which covers the lit up indicators which is not in my game plan and there is no way to protect them so paint will not cover and keep the lighted icons.

Again, Lupe is a great painter, supplier of parts and accessories and he's been a vendor on the forum for years. If you allow yourself to second guess the work based upon the disclaimer, well I don't know well I don't know what to say.
I'm sure you'd get more people who approve of Lupe` and his work than disapproval of what he provides.

Just thought I'd drop that off here for G.P.

WE WILL NOT BE HELP RESPONSIBE FOR ANY DEFECTS OR DAMAGE THAT IS CAUSED WHILE PAINTING, DISASSEMBE OR REASSEMBLE OF THE UNIT. WE ARE CAREFUL BUT AGAIN WE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE, IF YOU SEND IN YOUR UNIT FOR PAINTING YOUR ARE ACCEPTING FULL RESPONSIBLITY AND WILL NOT HOLD RIVER CITY CREATIONS & LIGHTING OR ANY OF ITS EMPLOYESS RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE.

I'd be a little leery, just based on how they typed up the disclaimer!!!
After reading it , I'm surprised if anyone still takes even their beloved mother in law old Ford Pinto for some paint job !?

The name "Lupe" tells me that maybe the poor spelling and grammar is just a language barrier thing, not an indication of his quality of work. English might not be his primary language.

I contacted River City with a question about one of their products and they answered back within half an hour. That at least says something positive about their customer service.
That being said, if you're taking your whole car there for them to disassemble and paint, I'd give them a shot. Maybe ask to see some of their work if it will ease your nerves (custom shops always have photo albums of past jobs).

If you have to send them the part to have it painted, then do it yourself, or take it to a body shop to have it painted. It sounds like taking the thing apart and putting it back together is the real job.

That looks awesome, but I'd be scared $#!tless to do that. Kudos to you for taking the leap and doing it - it paid off!

I never read his disclaimer either but I can also vouch for his great work and painting skills.

As far as the hydrodipped whatever it is that makes Me dizzy looking at it. Not a fan.
