Spot on! Before I signed on the proverbial line, I compared both generations and decided that the 5th gen was the way to go.

In reality, I am sure the Get 6 will be better than the Gen 5 in most every way . . . even if the looks take a little time to grow on folks.

Question is, is it worth the financial loss that comes with selling our Gen 5 now and the financial cost of buying the 6? Further, do you want to take a chance with a first year car?

Not me. I'll stick tight for a while.
Double spot on!

The original poster's question is a loaded one. It's trying to differentiate different personality traits, for instance those that need the latest and the greatest and those that are happy with what they have.

Well X25 if you like the way it looks more power to you man but For me I do not like the way the 6 GEN. looks, just like I still hate the way the back of the C7 vet looks and that not going change un till GM come up with a better looking rear end on the C7 .

GM also get zero point on the inside of 6 gen . I no problems with the 5 gen inside .

Now that just me, I am sure other do not feel the same as I do .

I really like the LT1. Not huge fan of the DI but engine itself is BA
I had a L86 in my '14 Sierra and wow it moved that 6000lb truck.

I love my 1LE.

There's only one car that I would sell my 1LE, and that's a C6z.

Because I get bored quick and like to drive something different every few years and it was cheaper to lease this car then buy it if I was only going to drive it for 36 months. I got a nice discount off msrp, the money factor was pretty low and the residual was 63% after 36 months. A couple grand down and less than $400 per month. i thought they had figured the residual a bit high but now that I see the higher pricing on the gen 6 the gen 5 may hold its value quite well.

I think thats just about 100% right, especially about the first year car, always better to wait at least one model year and work out the bugs . . . love by 5th Gen but very interested to see where they take 6th gen in terms of special/performance models . . .

I *think* Chevy said something like faster than a 1LE on a track WITH the MRC option.

I need a 6 gen 1le or ZL1. Then maybe we can talk. I'm going to free up some money in the near future. Thinking used C7 or a used C6 Z06

I will have to drive one to know for sure, but it would have to be a lot better to make me switch. I am planning on adding HP to my car for much less $$$ than trading for a 16.

i'm with you. Based on new pricepoints, my 1LE will probably be my last Camaro. Had a 3rd gen, 4th gen and 2 5th gens. Not that my 1LE is going anywhere, but my next one will most likely be a very low mile Vette. Camaro's not the "everyman's car" it used to be, especially with the new price points on the 8s. Add the 2SS and some bells and whistles and the Vette is far more appealing to me now. I was at the six reveal. Sat inside, stared at it for hours and walked away thinking "meh". "meh" however was never my impression when i first saw the 5. Every time i walk into my garage I still grin when i see my 13.
