The space appears to be relatively small but in reality its about an inch and the full width of the filter. Compared to the size of the air inlet on the stock intake, it's definitely big enough.

As for the filter, I believe they have them custom made for the application but it is a clean and re-use type filter. I seem to remember reading somewhere that they are made by Green Filter USA.
on my ls1 the duct width is only about 1 inch and as wide as the filter. Seams to be enough though.I wonder on this one if, as on mine, the filter will get dirty quickly ? that duct sucks up alot of dirt and in 1000 miles there is a black strip the size of the duct opening on the filter. Always cleaning it.

Thanks for the immediate response Rolnslo...

I can imagine this will be a high maintenance piece due to the flying dirt, especially if it's dusty and windy where some people live.

Any idea on the cost of this intake yet??

So except for cat back exhaust and now this intake, have you done any other mods to the engine or exhaust system?

Can't wait for the dyno

We didn't talk about cost. That info will have to come from Vararam.

Timeframe was not discussed but I'll definitely push for this once Patrick gets the updated unit ready.

Well, it sounds like it's sucking air. Actually, it sounds really good. It definitely altered the tone and loudness of my exhaust. I loved my SOLO catback before, now it sounds even better. More full sounding and muscular under load, especially for a V6.

Nope, just the cat back exhaust, no other engine/exhaust mods. The cat-back by itself wasn't good for any gains but was a definite must have to fix the weak stock exhaust sound.

Anyone have a guesstimate how much this could be? What do Vararam products normally cost? Are they high end or up and coming?
