There are 3 prgrammable buttons for up to 3 garage doors. I use it every day.

read the owners manual about the set up and you'll have it programmed in less than 3 minutes.
Cool glad to hear it

the only problem i see with that is if you turn it back in they deactivate the remote but if you have two cars and one remote that could work.

I use mine all the time, just wish they had a little light on it or something, so you dont have to search for it everytime.

Any chance someone could snap a pict of that area? Anything else up there besides the garage homelink?

It was easy, though it might be a 2 man operation if you need to climb a ladder to reach the button on your garage door opener.

I had to press the button on the opener itself because I have a newer garage door opener, and it changes frequency.

Huh? I'm not familiar with apartment gates too much, but you're saying every gate opener has a frequency unigue to each individual user? I find that hard to believe. I'm pretty sure apartment complexes don't want to spend any more money on stuff than they have to, and a gate like that sounds like it would be pretty expensive.

Read the manual though for proper instructions though. Really cool feature.
dam I tried it and it does not work, I did read the opener may need a new battery, but I hold the operner and the door doesnt know wether to go up and down then I tried the car button and no go

Lost one a while back they told me they will deactivate it and they gave me a new one. Eventually I found the one I lost and tried it sure enough it did not work. Each remote has an individual # encoded in it. So in there system when you push the remote it transmits that encoded # if the system can't find the # it will not allow you to open the gate. At least in my apt complex. I think they have to do that for security reasons. So say I lost it a wall-mart and someone found it they could not enter the complex with it once it is deactivated. I know the chances of them going to the right appt complex are slim but it is still there I am only a few miles from wall-mart so it could happen.

Definitely a great addition to any car. I have it and use it exclusively in the Camaro and in our other car. Programming is easy, but you should definitely read the manual and you might need two people depending on how fast you are. Some remotes and openers don't require you to push a button on the opener itself and some do.
