Yep, just took mine in and I read a statement from GM about it. They are telling the dealers to just make sure everything is tightened and explain to people that this sound is normal and is due to suspension setup

Lots of members on here had this issue, they took it in and they replaced the strut mounts on lots of them.

The dealer pretty much blew me off. They test drove the car, heard and acknowledged the issue and basically said that all of the Camaro's make that noise. So I opened a case with GM/Chevy, and basically they blew me off too. They said that you basically have to deal with the sound and because this sound does not effect the drivability of the car, they refuse to do anything. I will quote the person Erik from Customer Care - this is our final decision, we are not required to make any repairs to your car. To top that off, Erik is from Argentina and can't even direct me to someone in the US, nevermind NJ. He also said there is no escalation point after there group. This is very frustrating spending 40K on a car and it sounds like it is 10 years old. I refuse to give up on this. If anyone has any ideas on who I can contact let me know.

I understand where you're coming from. I've had problems with cars in the past that were never solved by the dealer even after following their complaint resolution procedures. The only solution was to trade them in on something else, or just live with it until it was time to trade. It would be nice if someone from GM would at least say what/where the noise is coming from, since I believe they know, but can't or won't make the design changes to correct it in the current platform. The issue I have is that all Camaros don't make the noise. The one I rented for a weekend was quieter than my Honda. I also haven't seen anyone post that upgraded suspension parts from an aftermarket manufacturer corrected the noise.

Should you decide the grass is greener, the competition has potential issues too. The 2011 5.0 Mustang has an engine ticking noise issue that may appear either when new, or after the first oil change. One poll showed it affecting about 30%. Ford is supposedly looking for a solution, but until then they add a Carbon-based additive in the oil saying it will take care of the problem. If the additive works the noise comes back when the oil is changed. Ford is likely adding the additive in the assembly process. The 6.1 SRT Challengers have a reported problem of stalling when slowing down and making a turn. People have reported the car dying and rolling out into traffic, and at least 2 members on a forum I visit have traded the car off for obvious safety reasons. This has been going on for years with the hemi engine, and Chrysler has fixed the problem yet. You can't lemon law the car because the problem is extremely hard to duplicate.

Hey guys/gals

I recently purchased a 2015 2LS & I noticed the clunking noise from front when going on a rough road or little bumps. I thought it was just me until my sister heard it one day while in the car. I have never had a new car so I thought maybe the noises from my other car was stuck in my head lol. The first noise I heard was one clunk from the rear when I put car in gear and pull off or when I put in reverse and back up. Just one clunk as if something is releasing the rear wheels to move. I will have checked out when I go for my first oil change. I am not a woman who just drives my car, I check everything, I make sure it's clean & I ask questions. Not your average woman when it comes to my ride.

I have the same issue for some time I installed a new tunnel brace, exhaust hangers, sway bar end links, sway bar bushings, front and rear struts, new rear brakes and as I we installed a new vent canister solenoid we grab a pry bar and moved the suspension knuckle and it made the noise I think I finally found it, the upper and lower control arms connect to it, now I have to order the part and install, I let everyone know, but I'm 95 % it is the problem.
