I just made an appointment for Tuesday morning. I'll post after the visit!

I stopped myself from prying off the a-pillar cover last weekend. Was pretty tempted to handle this myself but it's a new car and it's going to the dealer.

I'll be following this thread. When someone gets back from the dealer let us know what they said.

I have the same issues coming from the same place in my ride, and I too noticed it when it got cold out.

Ok, had the dealer look at it today. Definitely a cold weather squeak. I couldn't get the car to replicate the noise for the dealer, yet on the drive to the dealer it squeaked the whole way.

I went for a ride with the mechanic. Couldn't get it to rub no matter how many bumps I hit!

I asked him to pull off the a-pillar cover and inspect it. He did and he added some thick tape to the bottom edge of where the cover touches the windshield.

I let the car sit in the garage for a few hours then drove it. No squeak yet, but needs to sit overnight to be sure.

BTW, the mechanic couldn't believe how well the SS handled in the snow. He didn't realize I had snow tires on. We had 2 fresh inches of slushy slop and he was blown away while driving it.

Update: still have the squeak

Your dealer doesn't offer shuttle service? Or call a buddy to pick you up!

Different car I realize but often it's very difficult to pinpoint a noise inside the car. It may sound like it's coming from a completely different area than where it really is.

Anyway, last winter I had a squeek until the car would warm up enough inside. Took me weeks to figure it out. I decided to lift up the right edge of the seat cushion near the front corner 1 day and that's where the issue was. The leather was rubbing up against the side of the centre console.

I stuffed my winter gloves down the side until I bought a Dropstop that keeps things from falling down the side of the seat and it's also resolved the squeek ever since.

www.buydropstop.com if you're tired of losing change and what not down the side btw ... which invariably leads to other noises.

Ok, couldn't take it anymore. Caroline is at the dealership. Noises bug me to death. She's there for the dash rattle, window squeak I made a thead about, the seatbelt squeak, and the latest one, the passenger side window going down by itself and not being able to put it back up.

I think I have the same noise on my 2011 Camaro SS

I recorded the noise on my phone, let me know if that's the noise...

Thanks...

Mine only makes the noise when I'm driving; it's clearly parts rubbing together making the squeak.

I've blown it off. Too busy to deal with it and once spring comes I won't hear it anymore.
