They may be worth something in terms of stopping rocks when coupled with side skirts, but then I'm not sure they are compatible with side skirts in the first place...

...anyway, the Rokblokz I have now may look like glorified mudflaps (with a pretty nice edge bead, oh yeah), but they are much wider and taller, they're 100% reversible and damage free, even the fronts attach with plastic push clips along with a plastic edge cut instead of hard metal claw clips like some other flaps.
I’ve had the OEM rear fender flares on since 2018 and run 315 width R888R on the street and 325 width ET Street R at the track and have *zero* rock chips behind the flares. They work perfectly (at least in my case)!

I dragged my feet putting the front flares (my fault) but have had no issues with protection there either now that they’re in place (running 285 width up front).

I will take some measurements this weekend since my wife’s new Mustang GT is now running Rokblokz, but I think the GM rock guards are simply exactly what you need and nothing more. The Rokblokz definitely stick out a bit more and don’t look as good, but the protection is excellent.

You must mean the OEM splash guards by fender flares , well the rears may be okay in terms of protecting the rear bumper, but they do nothing for the underside of the diffuser, unlike the Rokblokz that span the entire 305-315 mm of the rear tire. One might say who cares of course, but I have a new diffuser and want to protect it, because it cost extra, plus installation is quite a PITA.

My rocker panels sustained a series of white chips even with the RPI Premium front mudflaps (same as the ZL1 Addons deluxe model), and the OEM guards are narrower than those... do you have side skirts? Those help tremendously in my experience.

Anyhow, we all have different preferences, I definitely don't want to rivet tiny splash shields onto my car ever again, body color or not Those ultra expensive ACS rock guards are also an option for those that can't stand the mudflappy look.

I have the ACS on the fronts only and they look OEM with the gloss black matching. Work great and have PPF on the rear quarter.

Yeah I haven’t noticed the diffuser but good idea. I should check that out and make sure that’s not getting pelted…!
