Make sure you tell your dealer not to install the front bracket. They do drill two holes to mount it.

my dealer didn't install the front plate. I have it in my trunk at the moment.

I'm gonna buy something that uses existing mounting bolts so it can be removed for any future show purposes if I ever goto any. Plus it seems like the stock front license plate holder blocks a significant amount of airflow directly in front of the radiator. Probably not performance impacting but still.

100$ hahah....no. I've only been ticketed for that once in the 5 years I've driven the car. It was 25 dollars and I just put the plate inside the windshield and the cop chuckled and signed it off.

Owned a 5th gen for about a year no front plate, got pulled over for speeding a couple times. It was never an issue, will not be putting it on my 6th gen.

On the flip side. I was in my 4th gen, doing 5 under the speed limit. The day (1st day i got them from DMV) I put my california plate on my car's rear (front plate screw grommets were sun damaged and fell apart so I was heading to autozone for new screw inserts) I got pulled over. My plates were so new they couldn't even run them, as was my registration.

No ticket obviously but yea. Anecdotal "it hasn't happened to me in years" evidence is no measure of the chance of you running into a cop who's off their quota for the month.

I'm thinking about ordering the California legacy plates for mine (black plate with yellow numbers) I think it would look less obtrusive on the front than the standard white plates. Anyone else doing the same?
