The torque converter, diff, and definitely the brakes could be from prior owner abuse. Rear spoiler could also have been prior owner jerking on it when opening and closing trunk.

Rest of stuff is minor and easily fixed.

I've had a few issues with my 16 2SS, but they've all been fixed quickly and professionally. It's one of the best driving cars I've ever driven and I've been lucky enough to drive some nice cars.

all of my Camaros have been used with 10,000 miles or less and they have been good cars.

Not everyone wants to lose $10k on their car as soon as they drive it off the lot.

I agree not all used camaros are an issue. Plus most of what the OP experienced seems like things others have complained of. Torque converter issues...etc are all well known so blaming this on it being used is a little short sided.

Agreed on that, however; the stigma of any used sports car is the previous owner beat the crap out of it before trading it in on something faster, or..it just began to have too many problems.

yeah, but this "certified pre-owned" pretty good marketing trick (nice way of saying BS) IMO. I think you just got one that someone abused cuz they knew it was going back - it sucks big time.

so, no recourse on it being "certified"?

Maybe a certified with VERY low miles... but a lot of people don't baby their cars like us and run them very hard (All the time). Its not worth it to me personally.

I bought mine as a dealer exec car so. I have no idea what that meant other than a manager and possibly their family drove the car until it sold. Did they follow the break in? Probably not. I have no idea. I can only hope I don't run into the issues you have or anything major. Trade it in like for like? Or see if there's some lemon laws in FL that can assist getting your full value or replacement.

Yea, buying a (12 mo) leased vehicle is like buying a used rental car.
