Nice to see a few other former 4th gen owners.
My first Camaro was a sunset orange metallic 2001 SS. Recently sold to buy my 1LE and I miss the hell out of her.

First Camaro
1967 Rally Sport convertible, black/black/black, 327, close ratio 3-speed, AM-FM, no A/C.
Paid $1,000 plus my 1966 El Camino with 34,000 miles on the clock.

My first camaro was Jinxed and I should have known it was...
It was a burgundy 1985 camaro with t-tops. Loved that car. But over 5 years it was wrecked 27 times. Heck..., the girl that had it before me got it as a present when she graduated Wake Forest University. She had it for one week and a tree limb fell on it and cracked one T-Top and busted the back hatch.  Pretty car.., but it has some serious bad luck.

1969 blue with white rally stripes back in 1990. Sold my Ford Escort to my mechanic, my only transportation. Found the Camaro for sale right by my apartment and struck a deal on a Saturday. The following Monday morning I walked to the bank, withdrew $1200 (graduation money) then walked to the back to the Camaro and bought it cash. Drove straight to the store to buy razor blades to remove the "Ultra Hot" Sticker. I spent more time under it than in it, but the bug bit me. Sold it for $1500 a few months later to a guy that was buying a pair to restore with his sons. Talked to him a few months after and the restoration was under progress, said he had removed the engine. IIRC, he was a deputy sheriff in Brazoria or Galveston County. I'm sure he took a lot better care of it than I could have. That care had lots of issues.

My current camaro convertible is my 1st and hopefully not my last... I plan on keeping her for quite a while, but may "supplement" my stable with another...
