True. I didn't think of that.

The naming scheme is just not very good. The ATS should have been brought out with the new scheme. It makes no sense to change the name after one generation.

I feel like something got a little overlooked last month with the CT6 + powertrain reveal.

The AWD system in CT6 is capable of handling over 950 lb ft of torque.

I noticed, I didn't think much of it though. My interpretation is that some marketing type found out what it could handle before the safety factor was applied. Everything is overbuilt to some degree, could be 10x as strong as needed could be 10% stronger. Selecting a safety factor depends on a lot of different elements such as the consequences of failure, how certain you are about the amount of force the component will experience, the effects of fatigue (repeated loading/unloading cycles), and importance of weight. Anyways, I'm thinking that they have a more powerful engine intended (that makes up to about 475 ft-lbs) which works out to a nice clean SF of 2.

Thats how I read the tea leaves at least. For all I know, they could be planning on putting the next iteration of the 6.6L duramax in there -maybe even give it a towing package like on the Fleetwood from 20 years ago.

And the LT4 is capable of over 1000 hp but that doesn't mean they will use it.

Spark EV MSRP dropped to $26k.

GM is desperate to increase Colorado/Canyon production at Wentzville.

Dodge does not make trucks any more and Ram says no they will not build one, Jeep is still considering it though.

I cannot find anything official about if Ford has decided to build one for the US market, do you have any references?

Ford's been wavering on the midsize truck issue for years now. Ram flat out denied they were producing one a few days ago.
