installed some ambient lighting on the dash. I bought the light strip online for like 20 bucks and it came out great.

Let my 16 year old, unlicensed granddaughter drive it home from the store this afternoon. Her and her mom are out visiting from Tennessee and she needs some practice. She was thrilled when I pulled over and told her to get behind the wheel. She did great, handled the Camaro like a pro and hasn't stopped texting and telling all her friends and everyone else how awesome it was

painted the calipers silver using the G2 kit...honestly, not impressed at all. prep'd well with the supplied aerosol cleaner, used wire brush to knock any dust off then wiped them down with more cleaner and lint free towels. had issues with the paint running and tons of fish eyes. was able to get them "good enough" but not happy with the results.

Mine came out pretty good, but it wasn't perfect with the G2. 2 years later I have some chipping near the pin openings and a few other spots. The color has stayed very bright red though, so there is that.

I should have powder coated instead.

Hey Mike, that looks great. Would you mind sharing a link or any details of the lights you used? Also, did you tie them into your factory ABL door lights so they turn on at the same time?

Would be great if you could get these in an RGB style with controller so you could change to any color you want on the fly. I am thinking of doing that with my door ABLs.

here is the link. I did hook them up to the factory lighting. they come on when you open the drivers door and when the outside lights come on.

I recently got mine in as well. Awesome shifter! I didn't honestly think the stock one was that bad, I just hated the knob. But after the swap, I can't believe how much more firm/positive the shifts are with this one. It did take longer to install than I would have guessed..but worth it! The strong return takes some getting used to. Had a couple accidental 1-4 shifts when I was just driving lightly. Love slamming this thing though the gears now!

Deciding what knob to get on it!

But really, there wasn't anything super "hard" about the install. It is just very involved and has quite a few steps. Many say the toughest part was probably getting the pins out of the old shifter. But the MGW installation video has an out-of-car transmission and they show you exactly how to release the pins. That helped a lot. It would have taken me forever to figure those out! To ME, the hardest part was getting the stock shift boot back on the MGW grommet. The hole left in the factory boot was much bigger than the grommet, and left me with a lot of extra material to deal with. Kept getting bunched up on one side, or would pull though when we tried to tighten it up. That probably took 45 minutes alone

Start to finish, it probably took me 5-6 hours to complete. This was with jacks and stands in the garage (lift would have helped a lot), and with me being super careful not to damage any of the interior when working inside the car.

I will also say, this is probably one of the best packaged products I have ever had. Everything was well protected, and the kit came with pretty much everything you need. All the parts were labeled well and easy to distinguish. If I ever had to get another camaro, I would get this again without a 2nd thought!

Swapped from the Heritage grille to a new GM standard grille, just never liked the look of the Heritage.
