That rear bumper looks so much better than the current one. As I've said many times. U can't ruin what is already fugly. So I'm pretty sure that an MCE model will be a great improvement till the next gen... New rear bumper, tail lights, front.

Hope, it will get some elements from the FNR. The tail lights, for example. They look great.

I will now stare and speculate.

Looks as if the tail lamps are scalloped at the bottom into the rear bumper.

I think doing a refresh of front/rear will do wonders! Just hope they don't go backwards like the 14-15 models.

They didn't go backwards with the '14-'15 models. They restyled the rear bumper to make the car look lower and wider which improved the design.

With the 6th gen though, they need to drop the huge indentation area or the U.S. models where the rear plate mounts. Also, they need reduce the "kinked in" look where the tail lights are.

It seems they are addressing the kinked in look somewhat by puffing out the lenses on the tail lights for the midcycle update.

The rear end on the 14-15 was terrible. I liked the front end on the 14-15 better, but the rear end on the 10-13 was far better than the 14-15. Just my opinions.

You mean you didn't like the Prelude re-release in 14-15?

The only ones that look like a Prelude were the LED style tail lights on the RS model.

The base version and the Z28 had the three segment look with a thin chrome trim piece integrated on the bottom. They also wrapped the light around the quarter panel a bit too.

The '14-'15 base tail lights more closely resemble the '69 of which the 5th gen retro design was primarily based upon.

What makes the 6th gen look fugly (IMO) is where the back end kinks in at the tail lights. It seems from the photos shown, they're trying to address it somewhat with the mid cycle update.

Those are probably just place holder lights.
