Yeah...I mean I really like the look of the middle shifter. In my humble opinion, it makes for a sportier or perhaps more sophisticated looking interior, but honestly I was hoping they'd go for button shifting like in some of the other GMC vehicles, or perhaps just steering column shifting.

People knock it (because they haven't tried it) but the button shifting in our former 2018 GMC Terrain was great. It worked perfectly, and it opened up entire center console allowing for so much more room. These smaller trucks could really use that extra space and storage.

At least this one isn't as cheap/ugly and nicely intergrated:

Honestly, I hate the shifter in my ZR2. I'd much rather have a mechanical shifter like the Colorado or the column shifter.

Yeah, I'm still getting used to it in my ZR2. 1st played with it in the Hummer EV and sort of liked it. No way would I want a stick on the floor of a small truck like a Colorado. I'm perfectly fine with a column shifter in either case.

Looks is one thing but you just nailed my issue with it. However, with the sweet new interior design they did shorten and put it towards the passenger side.

WELP looks like I'll be waiting a little bit longer.

You heard it here first, new Colorado ZR1 trim:

(looks like the spinny model on the normal Colorado page has an error)

Looks like trailering package jumped from $390 to $620?

And also trailering package now requires the 220 amp alternator for an extra $150? The order guide still says its optional, and has no note saying "required with trailering package"

All-in trailer package price now $750...

ZR2 i'd like is about 50k. I was expecting more. I don't see a Canyon build and price yet for comparison.

I haven't started playing with the configurator yet, but I will soon. I hope the Canyon Configurator doesn't take much longer!

I'm at $41k for a loaded LT.

It'd be $38k with employee pricing.

$3k is a lot of money.

Yeah, I really don't want to spend 50k, and honestly I think the AT4 is where I want to be (unless it's also 50k optioned) and then i'll take the DSSVs instead. It really is interesting how GM has tried to differentiate the offerings.

An AT4 unless left alone won't be far from $50K.

The AT4 will come much better equipped than the Colorado Z71, and of course adds the lift, the width, and the H.O. tune, but it starts at over $45.

The one I looked into with the premium package, Bose, and optional wheels was over $48K.

That's higher than I'd like to be, but honestly it's about where I figured it would be. I was hoping it would be maybe a couple grand less.
