I think the base GT looks better than the above photos. As far as performance, I would not underestimate Ford. They are willing to put the time and money in, and automotive engineers aren't exactly theoretical physicists. I bet the new GT is very fast. Chevy will step it up to compete though.

Anyone who thinks that Ford is not going to do exactly what they said they would do is misguided. Ford has already claimed that the standard GT will be quicker than the Boss LS, imagine when the performance editions begin to arrive, Mach1, GT350, GT500? The Camaro has held the handling advantage due to the IRS, and larger tires, that is no longer an advantage. Ford is going to roll out a beast in GT form, and a monster in the GT350 form. It's a tough time to buy a new car. Go with the 1LE or Z-28, and you soon will be out performed by the GT and GT350. The safe bet is still the balanced ZL1 IMO, which I hope Chevy will add a bit more HP to soon.

That side rear shot looks a lot like a C5... Front end Fusion. I'm brand loyal however so it'd never happen. I'm more interested to see what Dodge is going to do with the Challenger.

I wonder when GM is going to start releasing details or news about the 6th Gen Camaro. I find it strange that I haven't heard any major rumors yet

You must work at a Ford dealership. I haven't heard so much Ford hype in a long time.

I'm seeing new 2014 Mustang GTs for up to $12,000 off MSRP which is so tempting. I think the back of the 2015 Mustang is the best looking Mustang ever, the front can be fixed. The new Mustang looks way better in person than print. I can't wait to drive one but if I buy I'll wait to 2016.

With the quality issues I've had with my last 2 new purchase Mustangs (2006, 2010) I'm hesitant to buy another but my wife likes them.

Both my Wife & I had 1965 Mustangs as our 1st cars. Hers was a coup mine was a conv. but we both have owned more Camaros than Mustangs.

12K off of MSRP? So, low 20's for a new 2014 GT? I don't see that.

I ordered mine and got almost 6K in Rebates and X-plan pricing. 12K seems VERY far fetched unless these are completely stripped down GT models with ZERO options.

I would like to know how we are suppose to interpret "faster than a BOSS 302". Does that mean in every way or just on a road course. If they mean road course then yeah sure I can see that. If they mean acceleration as well then I will believe it when I see it. I just don't see how in the world they will keep their promise to cut curb weight. I'm going to call Ford out right now and say the new GT will be the same weight as the old one or most likely HEAVIER. When curb weight specs come out then we will see who was misguided.

The more I see the 2015 Mustang, the more I like it. Also, I look forward to what GM has in store for the 6th-gen Camaro.

However, in light of recent dealership experiences in terms of sales and service I've had at both Chevrolet and Ford dealerships, it would take an act of contrition of biblical proportions on their part for me to even consider buying another new vehicle from either GM or Ford at this point.

I never mentioned anything about curb weight. Not sure Ford has officially either. Regardless of the final weight, they have stated the standard GT will be faster than the LS. Take that whichever way you want. Myself I would expect 1/4 mile times in the 12:20-12:40s, and 11s with DRs which is presently what the Boss is capable of.

I would not trade. Every time I see a mustang driver show off I see him fishtail and overcorrect.
Every time I see a camaro driver showoff, he seems to have better control. I have shown off and experienced the same unnatural control too.

Bottom line is I like to be in control more than getting squirrelly.
