No, I installed a triple pump setup on a friends car and just cut the old line apart to get this part out to show what the issue was.

Anyone remember how my GM new car survey (from GM) showed up right after the locals told me they don't schedule guaranteed service/diagnosis dates anymore, you can only schedule drop to get in what ever the line is at the time, and your car will be sitting in their service lot for days?

I just got a call from GM Proactive Outreach. Think they will be able to help? Didn't answer, not feeling great, might call them back tomorrow evening.

Having removed and replaced it, do you think it is harmful to drive the car with a bad one?

It’s basically a check valve, probably with a defective spring tension causing the ball to rattle so I doubt it’s harmful

Just wanted to provide a 1-month update. Since having the part replaced, the tick/rattle has NOT returned at all. For those still waiting on the part, rest assured that it does appear to be the proper fix for this issue.

I heard back from the general motors rep today. They cannot find a dealer that will do the same day diagnostic, So I'm back to needing to call dealers every morning that I'm off and ask if they will be able to listen to it run that day.

Who's going to be the first manufacturer to start " Tele-mechanic"

It looks like the strike is ending. Lets hopes these parts make it out asap. At least before the snow starts piling up!

I think my '20 just started doing this after a cold start. It does it for a couple minutes of running, and sounds like it goes away.

If this is related, I'll do this myself, lol.

Part still on backorder for 2+ months now for me. Hopefully after this strike ends I can get the darn thing

Called my dealer to check on the part and they didn’t have any update. He said they can’t even get parts expedited and it will take a while to get back to normal. He did point out that if Camaro production ends next month parts availability should improve.

My ZL1 was 2023 was made in July and I have no noise at all 9000 miles on it.
