But.... I can’t get over the irony of summer only tires and a heated steering wheel on my 2SS
Isn't that the truth?

Do you have any concept of the number of performance and high end cars that come with heated seats and steering wheels these days?

On the LT1 it is the only V8 Camaro you can buy wit all season tires. But no seat or steering wheel heater. Chevy needs some help with equipment inclusion.

M4, C63, Audi, Lexus, etc. I"m sure you'll find plenty of cars wearing summer-only rubber with heated steering wheels. It's not like you can't take the wheels off or anything, in fact, many people do just this and save the summer tires for the summer fun. Apart from being a dramatic help to anyone with reynauds, the car can cold soak even when the tire temp isn't going to get that low. It's not 40 degrees and cut off either, it's not recommended below 40, cracking at 20, so as long as you are watching temps there can be some cool mornings, etc.

The idea that a heated steering wheel/seats shouldn't be an option, even as a mainly summer-car, is asinine. I get that a lot of people live in Florida, but a lot of people don't too.

now you’re comparing the “luxury” of a camaro to bmw, mercedes, audi and lexus. you don’t see the humor?

Why not compare the Camaro to those cars? I cross-shopped between BMW, Audi, Ford, and Chevy and ended up with the Camaro. I traded in a 2015 BMW M235i for my 2018 2SS. The MSRP of the Camaro was within $200 of the BMW. Both cars were sporty RWD manual transmission coupes, but the Camaro had many standard features that the BMW did not have:

heated steering wheel
heated/cooled seats
HUD
LSD
blind spot monitoring
cross-traffic alert
premium stereo

When the MSRP is in the $50K range, it has to be compared to the German sport luxury cars.

I came out of a BMW, the only thing it had on this was active cruise control, which wouldn't really work with a manual anyway. Otherwise, interior was pretty much the same, features the same, similar customization abilities with suspension, engine, seats, mirrors, etc.

No, I don't see the humor. It's not like you can't get leather seats, or a better radio, or a sunroof, or all sorts of other stuff, for the Camaro, just like you can other cars. But for some reason you draw a line at a heated steering wheel? Bizarre.
