And unless you have inside information, don't know how the Ranger is going to be a knockout. Both are clear wait an sees.

Yes thats true but Chevy's new pickup is going to be aluminum just like Ford and they (GM) has made commercials claiming how bad the F150 is, so yeah we'll see how that works out for Chevy. As for the Ranger it outsold everything other small truck in its category and I think it will again considering whats out there right now and ask any small truck owner and they will ask the same question as to why killed off the Ranger but we all know that Ford killed it off to boost the F150 sales which turned out not to happen. It just caused people to gravitate toward Toyota, Nissan and now Chevy with the Colorado. |

Again, why if its all part of the plan, would they ramp up production numbers. To brag about how they have a superior higher margin vehicle littering the overflow lots in dealerships across the country? To give their marketing departments extra work cutting 20% off msrp commercials? Sales across the segment are down, but its particularly bad right now for Camaro. The only time they were leading was when they were blowing them out at 20% off msrp. I don't have a dog/horse/pony in this race. Im not a shareholder of GM/FORD/FCA. I want to see them all succeed. Competition leads to better options for the consumer. Has GM formally announced a 7th generation? |

It's fun to talk about sales leaders and who makes the "better" car, but none of that matters to the powers that be. We are just lucky there are so many options for enthusiasts to choose from. That could go away as the automotive market in the U.S. begins to contract...or the pony cars start to suspiciously resemble CUV's

If I were gm I would throw $500-1000 more discounts at the Camaro. Chalky is selling at the same rate and is a 10+ year old vehicle. Camaro is a better vehicle, but they can't let the chally sell more.

For most people, Challenger is more appealing because of the roominess and it is a nice looking car. I can see why the average joe and jane are buying them even though they have inferior performance metrics.

99% of the public do not care about Performance metric's they want a Comfortable car that performs well and look's good. It's a Muscle Car, Maybe the last built. all that and it can go on a 500 mile trip with comfort and all your luggage!
