I did change to royal purple in mine....noticed an improvement. I remember there being a issue with some type of ring (s) in the early 6060.

Wow... I've driven a variety of manuals... I think the TR6060 is one of the best. I will be adding in some aftermarket fluid to improve cold shifting a bit, but it really isn't bad. "Clunky"? "Notchy"? Come on guys.

Hmmm... I personally love the TR6060. I've driven two cars with it extensively and a few others for a few miles. It's definitely better than the T56, even if you can bang-off shifts in that one quite a bit quicker and with less care. Cold performance when it's below 50F out is a bit crappy, but that's my only complaint.

I mean if you're going to compare it to a Miata or Civic gearbox... yeah it's notchy and requires a bit of effort... but then again, anything connected to an engine with torque will be. I think the tightness and precision of these new TR6060s is unbeatable when it comes to cars with over 300lb-ft.

Changed out the oem fluid, pumped in 4 qts of synchromax. Made a noticeable difference. Not perfect but it definately feels much smoother shifting. not bad for $70. Compared to the T56, The 6060 blows it away. One of my favorite shifting cars so far .
