CTS Alpha is on a 114+" WB. And the Camaro needs that? What strengthening that's added to CTS-V does not require such a massive floor to accomplish. It can simply (?!) be adapted to an ATS-sized (roughly) pan. And, the smaller the pan, the more rigid it will be without resorting to as much weighty "assistance".

This is the first I'm seeing of this new pic. Where did it come from? Who did it?

It might be good news for v8 fans, in that the current cts platform is getting itself ready for the return of the cts-v. If the CAFE rules do not seriously constrict the use of the v8, we could have another series of heavy hitting camaros.
I am wondering how long can Chevy and GM can go with producing the high horsepower, (relatively) lower fuel efficient engines. At some point, as the mpg fuel requirements become more stringent, we may start to see less potent v8s, and more fuel efficient power platforms. The other area of concern is, of course, the design. I am hoping that Chevy will guess right and really produce a hot design for this generation. Anything less than stellar could be fatal for Camaro's future.

And Number 3 pointed out how it would make for a pretty terrible production car.

You're right. The front & rear are not nearly as nice. Disappointing.

Yeah, from the back it looks like that awful Chrysler coupe, the Cross-stitch or something.

Rear hatch like gen 3 and Stingray would be an improvement over the current car

Put this front end on it
Then do a more Camaro-ish rear end. Then a larger rear quarter window. And finally a more manufacture-able door, then I think we'd have a pretty awesome 6th gen.
