SS - MATTE STRIPES! HELP!!

I Have a 2010 SS... Cyber grey with Factory Matte Black SS/RS Stripes.

Unfortunately at some point last year, I got tree sap and its left a bad stain.

WHAT DO YOU USE TO CLEAN MATTE BLACK STRIPES WITH!

I've been looking for weeks now to try and find something that works

I already tried ADAM's 3 step kit ( didn't work)

PLEASE HELP REVIVE STRIPES!

the stripes are probably ruined..

I had to replace mine recently because they got something on them that pitted them and discolored them, no clue what it was, but the matte black had white spots all over it, and the red had purplish colored spots.

the vinyl shop had never seen anything like it, it looked as if someone had sprayed bleach on them.

I also have a CGM with black matte stripes. I found that Turtle wax Ice works great and does not leave any residue. You could try it to see if it lifts the sap off.

Good luck

My guess is you'll be replacing them.

If you've used our polishes on them, they may need replacing now as you don't want to use anything abrasive on them. Vinyl is MUCH softer than clear coat, and is very easily damaged.

Check out this video that covers a lot of options for caring for matte vinyl:
