Ive always gotten along better with older people. Maybe its being an only child? When I was in my 20s, people my age were always just looking for ass. When youre not looking for it, you find it. Id rather spend my Saturday nights sitting in a parking lot talking about cars, with the older people.

I'm 44 not old..not young, just right....I'm still young enough to do get into a little trouble in my car. Yet I'm old enough to pay for my evil ways myself. ...

You should really start your sentence with I or We followed by a have instead of a Got. This is the proper way to begin a sentence. You identify yourself to your readers. Starting your sentence off like you did sounds like you began in the middle of a conversation.

So you decided to choose ones grammar.

Proper use of grammar shows that one has a grasp of the English language and presumably is intelligent enough to carry on, ironically, an adult conversation.

I'm not sure if you've noticed...

One period is sufficient to end a sentence with but I did grasp that you wanted to carry your point over to the next statement. That being the case you should have used a comma to give pause to the reader, but you didn't, and we did notice.

But there's many people around here who have worse grammar than me.

You should use there are instead of there's. People is a countable noun and therefore there are is used. You would not say there is people at a car show would you? Of course not, you would say there are people at a car show.
Sadly, I am inclined to agree with you on this point. It is generally accepted that starting a sentence with a conjunction such as and or but is bad form. English teachers teach this rule to try and force their students to form complex sentences thus preventing them from simply stringing together many simple phrases to get their point across.

I feel your pain. People expect me to ride in this 2003 Mustang, but when I take out my 2014 Camaro they look sideways at me. Then when I say it's a v6 I get killed. BTW I'm 25, a grad student, and worked my butt off in college to get this car. Not many older people respect that part from what I've seen, but having one of the only 5th gen Camaros on Campus has perks.

Just to be clear guys I am kidding. I am just busting the OP's chops a bit and it is all in jest. Car guys are pretty universal and its not so much an age thing as a attitude thing.

Sorry you feel that way I am 38 and our group of Camaro guys here in New England is quite a mix and we all get along just fine. These guys are probably the nicest group of car guys I've meet and some of the older gentlemen are now my very good friends.

This thread is exactly why I think there ought to be a v6 and v8 forum. The age diff would be a lot closer on each. The op ought to try a corvette club. I'm old now but I've had eight of them and all ages get along. Not to many 16 or 18 year olds though. Not to many 16 or 18 year olds with ss's either.

I'm 17

SIMPLE...Daddy and Mommy. Either directly or indirectly (meaning you still live at home).

That's a very stereotypical answer, actually some people that young(like myself ) actually have a great job and work 60-70 hours a week so we can afford nice things
