After owning my SS for a year, there is just one thing I can't stand...

I swear if I ever meet the engineer that developed Skip Shift, this is pretty much how the meeting will go...

For whatever reason, it didn't bother me at first and I barely even ran into it, but now that I have driven my SS for awhile...I swear it happens every time I drive. Guess I need to go off and source a skip shift eliminator.

why would you even complain about something that is so easy to fix, be thankful you don't have an l99 that you have to buy a $400.00 tuner and potentially void your factory warranty to get rid of afm, and yes i know they have the range device now, but they didn't when i bought my camaro

If it bothers you so much why not just get the Skip Shift Eliminator

Edit: Just saw your comment on the bottom of the video.

One of the first things I bought. So quick and easy to install, problem instantly gone.
Now if only I could eliminate the hill assist...

I wouldn't say I am complaining, just literally dumbfounded as to why it was even developed for a sports car. I would kind of get it on gas mizer model, but I am sure many of us didn't buy our Camaro's for their fuel efficiency.

Just Saying My Experience ...
When I had my 95 Formula 6speed I hadly ever got caught with the skipt shift. And I always knew it was there so I just went futher into the rpms and then shifted to 2nd - never a big deal 2 me. However If I had to do the skip shift doing the manuver still wasnt a issue.
Maybe Im just weird cuz with my L99 Camaro when I first got it the AFM never bother me either.

GM had to put it there to help their MPG numbers and go towards avoiding gas guzzler tax, also same reason for AFM on the L99 cars.

Yeah man I'm with ya, getting into an arm wrestling match with my stick shift in traffic bugged me. When people ahead of me were moving so damn slow that the "skipper" made an appearance I cursed those engineers and I'll bet their ears were ringing.

I don't care about the fuel savings either but with modification the "skipper" was killed off with a tune and I'm glad he's dead. **** that engineer that thought of it too.

Sorry guys I just had to let it out.

Headers and skip shift eliminator were the first two mods on my car. I had them before I had the car. Installed them the first weekend I had time for it.

I shift at 2-3k RPM and I never run into the skip shift. You really have to be shifting too early to ever hit it IMO.

Yeah, hill assist would absolutely piss me off. I guess I won't buy a '13 or up Camaro ever, too bad to, was planning on a 6th gen as my next daily driver, and yes that is enough to keep me from getting one
