All of this is nice, but the OP's thread is about a cam kit and not a blower

The chop chop of the cam makes me do dumb stuff well, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

If he's only doing a cam at this point, I'd say get something that will match well with planned future mods. For now, it will still be better than stock, and you get the beautiful sound track. If he never does anything else, no big deal. Plenty of options out there. BTR, CamMotion, JRE, other shops with custom grinds.

I'd just recommend to make sure you understand expected valve spring life, and make sure that fits your needs/desires. Most shops use lobes with gradual ramps these days, but some still use high lift. In the past, I opted for a longer duration and lower lift to have 30k+ mile valvespring intervals. On this car, I drive maybe 5k a year, so it's no longer a concern for me. I'd get a big lift cam no problem now. Anyway, something worth considering.

Also, bear in mind there are many "right" mod paths. JRE has his, Katech has theirs, Vengeance, Nickey, etc. All are a little different and all work. Don't get suckered into thinking there's only one "right way"

I hear you. Mine really needs a bigger cam, only 32% FL now.

I’ve heard this one in person. Your car sounds awesome. Just the right amount of chop.
