This sure is an old thread. My previous Camaro had a thin felt pad strip at the base of the "A" pillar where it touches the dash cover in the corner (double sided clear tape on back of felt to hold in place). My 2014 does not seem to have that felt pad ... it some times makes a noise at that point.
When I get a chance I'm going to check to see if the pad just slipped out of place or was not installed correctly or is not on the car (and correct that).

So in a fit of rage i threw a hand towel in the corner between the pillar and the dash kind of smooshed in the corner touching the glass and the clicking has stopped. My mind was blown. The towel stops the clicking. Need to find a way to make this permanent, but until then, the towel stays haha.

Have you found a way? Have the same noise as shown in #34.
The A pillar was removed but the noise was still there. It makes me absolutely crazy!

I've never experience any weird sounds from my pillar trim, but what you could do is between the windshield and the cover, pull it back a tad and install a small piece of double sided automotive trim tape to hold the pillar cover attached to the windshield so it doesn't vibrate any, or put a piece of it under the bottom edge where the dash and pillar touch, or some sort of small piece of padding. Most of the cars have a thin piece of foam padding on the backside of the pillar cover to negate any movement or vibrations, and over time, they tend to wear thin. Good luck..

We talk about the a-column pillar? The noise is still there - even if the pillar is removed. Seems to be next to the HUD. I'm just scared of removing the whole Dash...

This noise has come and gone in my 2010.

Solution? Crane up the Judas Priest and keep on truckin'.

Ok. I found it! Under the hood - there should be a plastic cap. It's missing on the driver side.

I've added some plastic rubber - Noise is gone!!! Wohoooo
