Looking for Monster LT1-SC feedback
I'm at the cusp of the LT1-S power limit and the next step up is the LT1-SC. Can anyone vouch for the street manners, noise, chatter, performance of the -SC?

How is the LT1-S holding up to your power level? Would the LT1-R be too much?

Only have, maybe, 2,000 miles on the new install of the LT1-S and I'm holding back on rebuilding my spare LT1-S depending on how this one runs out. I still may have to upgrade to a higher power-handling clutch. As my demand list is high: I want a street car that I can race with, having my cake and eat it too is a must.

They make an LT1-SC twin (1000) and Lt1-SC triple (1500).
My friend locally has the SC triple. I havent driven it, but the pedal feel is very light. He upgraded from a Monster Lt1-S twin. He absolutely loves the SC triple. I will be getting one soon, as my McLeod rxt 1200 is starting to stink and is right on the edge. If you want to enjoy driving the car at slow speeds and keep it civilized I would get the triple. Even monster gives their twin a low score.

I know this thread is old, but I was just curious what you ended up with.
It looks like Monster has added a new line-up of SK series with 1300hp capability and better street manors. Or maybe they just changed the names?? Either way, now that I've found traction, my clutch is not happy and I'm trying to decide between a new clutch or a TH400. https://monsterclutches.com/monster-..._warranty-none

I conversed with Steve at Monster. For my extensive street driving he was stanch about running the LT1-S Triple. The -SK was closer to the -SC (being the in-between), and he said I wouldn't like either unless I was a dedicated racetrack person with the car.
I did swap the 3.25 rears out for 4.11 to ease wearing the clutch, and to hopefully get better launches. I've only been to the strip once and didn't get a good handle just trying no-boost (anti-lag) launches.

When I unintentionally needed my to expand my CID from 427 to 433, I had a spare LT1-S (I'm one of those guys) I swapped in at the time. I only had maybe 2,700 on the currently clutch in the car. I didn't need to swap it, but, you know, I figured it might save me some effort not having to pull the mid-mount turbos in the future. It was driven mostly street with maybe 2 trips to the strip. I should call Monster to see what the thickness is new then measure this one to see what percent life is left (I'm expecting a lot). I should then sell it for cheap because Monster has a pretty quick turnaround time to rebuild their clutches and I don't need two LT1-S Triples...

My first Triple was nice and quiet. The next two were louder when the clutch pedal was depressed. I'm presume it was the plates rattling. Annoying. However, driving the Triple has always been extremely easy. Easy to slip in parking lots, when starting out at a stoplight, or at the strip. Never chattered. I removed the stock clutch pedal spring too.
