I rarely drive the ZL1 but I absolutely love it. Scared to death of it, but I love it! My SS is more of a project car I plan on building it up. ZL1 obviously is hands down better but the SS is no slouch a few simple mods and they’re stupid fast. People ask how I afford those things I’ve got a good job as a manager at a very popular food distributor a ware house, but I saved my money for 6 years living with my grandparents to the point I could afford my dream cars and a house with a serviceable monthly payment. SS is paid off, ZL1 in 3 years. Advice for anyone younger or my age save up what you can!!!!!

I can't see out of it enough to tell if there are any dirty looks.

Drive what you love and love what you drive. You've got nothing to prove to anyone.

Only negative comments i had ever gotten were from some drunk bar guys ragging on my car as i was leaving work saying that POS Chevy blah blah blah. I was close to getting out and doing something stupid but at my age and theirs just ignored it and left some smoke in front of their faces as i was leaving LOL. 99% of the time i hear positive comments when asked about the car so i would just laugh it off as we know our cars are bad ass and their just really hating.

I'm 64 & figured I have one last hot rod in me as I tend to keep cars a long time (10+ years). I get surprised looks & comments from time to time, as I suspect some think I should have outgrown a muscle car.

**** them. If you worked for it. You deserve it. You earned it.
I usually get 90% positive comments. Got a middle finger from a kid in a Cadillac SRX? I can’t remember the equinox from Cadallac is called. But his mommy definetly bought him that. He looked 17ish. And then a angry stare from a dude at DQ. I gave it to him right back because everyone around here won’t do anything. It’s kind of funny. |
