Any way I can put a speed limiter on?

I know trucks and company vehicles use them but can I put one on a 2012 cts4. It's a family car and no one needs to be going past 70 in it.

Redneck version: Strategically shaped piece of 2X4 under the accelerator pedal.

Glad I could help.

What are the speed limits where you live? Here in Houston if you had the limiter set at 70, you would be getting honked at and passed quite often. 70 isn't even enough to pass here a lot of times.

Try a Hypertech 32501 Max Energy Power Programmer.. It lets you put your top speed in.. so if you want it to be 70mph than it should program the vehicle to do so...

70? Maybe 80.

I would hate to drive a car without any passing speed. That's not just an inconvenience, it's a safety hazard.

I have a remote programmer and one of the tunes is limited to 25 mph. I load this tune when I have to leave my car for service. It could be set for any speed.

Now that's priceless ... Hope they never have a need to send GM an image of ecm for warranty.

I know that is can be ordered on chevy vans because I have done it. I was talked into doing this through my insurance provider to get a lower rate. They only run to 70MPH. The guys that run them curse me every time they have to travel the highway.
