GAUGE POD INFO.
Ok you folks that check your gauges and readouts in the drivers info center, I know what the oil temp should run on my 2011 SS, and the trans temp and the oil pressure, but what are you filks seeing in the DIC for voltage on a daily basis, mine runs between 14.5 and 14.9. Reason I am asking is that my batterie went dead yesterday, had been acting slow to start the last few weeks and finally went dead yesterday, no indication from my "idiot" light on the dash warning lights that anything was up. My dealer mech said that the voltage showing is only for the charging system and will fluctuate depending on what you are running. Thanks in advance.

So I guess what I am asking is this voltage showing a normal number you guys see on a regular basis? And shouldn't there have been some kind of warning that my battery was going dead?? Thanks again.

Yes that is the normal voltage you should have. It did give you a warning by the slow starting the last couple of weeks. Your battery might need to be replaced. If you have amps and do a lot of stop and go driving. or listen to the radio with car not running is bad for a battery.

I've seen mine run as low as 12 and above 14 volts. Never had much luck with batteries in Florida. 24- 30 months is about all I get.

Yea thanks guys, sometimes I do listen to the stock radio,no amps or anything, with the car NOT running, but not for long, and I figure the car is 3 years old and the battery is probably older than that as it is the original one it was about time to go. With it being pretty cold down here a few times this last month, temps below 30, it took its toll on it, but I had it replaced so I am good to go. Thanks guys for your help.
