Significant difference in power?
I am looking into getting longtubes while the car is in storage for the winter months. I am leaning towards the "budget" headers, like Texas Speed or Speed Engineering.
My question... is there a big HP difference between the cheaper headers opposed to something like Kooks or AR Headers? I do plan on getting the car tuned after installing them.

I installed TSP headers and put exhaust wrap on them. The underhood temps are much lower than they were with the stock manifolds. May have shortened the life of the headers some but they're cheap and easy to replace.
I doubt there is any real difference between the different brands. I think the Speed Engineering tubing has seams where the TSP does not. |
