Ted, Please advice,Question regarding 10.0 lower crank pully from Lingenfelter
hello and good morning
My car is 2013 Camaro Zl1, auto transmission I have installed the Lingenfelter 9.55 lower pully along with its damper and brackets. I got 12.5-13 PSI /570on wheel horse power which does not satisfy me honestly. now my question is if I want to upgrade the pully to the 10.0 diameter one, am I going to need to buy smaller idler pully? if so which one? as far as my information goes I dont need it since the bracket will allow me to fix the 10.0 one without the need for changing the lower ideler pully. what are the gains I'm expecting to get from it up from the 9.55 currently installed. please advice |

you would probably be better off changing out the upper pulley at this point. Just make sure you don't get to close to the maximum revs the supercharge can handle. I think it is something like 23K. I would personally try to stay around 21K max.

Why not ask where you bought your parts from? See what they say.

A 9.17 lower and 2.55 upper spin the blower at 23400. That's pretty much the norm for most. Both my cars ran that setup with no negative effects. It only gets up there for short bursts to 6500. For a awhile my limiter was set at 7200, that I think was pushing it.

The 10" is a ok for someone not willing to do the upper pulley yet. If you have the idler relocation bracket you won't need a smaller pulley. I had a 10" on my car for a bit. My 10" pulley is for sale now. I changed cams and was able to slow my heartbeat blower down and maintain the same boost.

10" lower ring only works well with a stock upper and everything is in the safe zone. I wouldn't race the car on a road course with a 10" lower due to heat, but mechanically it is fine with a relocation bracket as explained above. You don't have to run a smaller idler with the relocation bracket.

I run a 9.55 lower with a 2.55 upper. Have cam, heads etc and see around 15.4 lbs of boost, 704 whp on pump gas.

Doesn't Qatar see over 100 degrees Most of the year?
