Just food for thought. This is more than likely NOT the 6th gen Camaro
Disclaimer: In no way is this meant to be any sort of official preview of the 6th gen. Just something that was noticed. More than likely GM had to approve this photo before it was published and made sure nothing in the background was of any value future product wise whatsoever.
Again, because I know what some of you are thinking. THIS IS MORE THAN LIKELY NOT THE 6TH GEN. Coupe on the design wall by Barra's leg. Interesting design.

In football terms, I think Ford threw a pick-six with the 2016 Mustang. Nice stats, horrible styling. The C7 gives me hope Chevy can capitalize on it.

The front end of the silver model looks ok until you get to the corporate grill. Those headlights have definite potential. I believe it was Tom Peters that said the next Camaro wouldn't get a corporate grill under his watch. Nothing to worry about but some interesting pieces being shown here. That rear end in the drawing is attractive and reminds me of a car which I won't mention.

There's so many designs that get drawn up and don't go anywhere, but it's interesting to see none the less.

Whatever that SUV thing is behind her, why don't they make that orange available for the Camaro? That would look fantastic on a 1LE.

Cool to look at, but honestly don't like any of the models. As for some of the sketches on the wall, I see some nice looking stuff, but really hard to see.
Very doubtful we see any of this hit production, but that said sometimes these types of photos can be used to give the public a tiny glimpse of a few design trends the company could be working on

I will say -- if the very aggressive looking front end on the left of the photo with the headlights arranged similar to how the 5th gen headlights are configured (with the turn signals on the inside), I would be really disappointed that it has a corporate frontend grille. The front end on the left also appears as if it could be the front end to the coupe on the right by her knee...
It would mean they're following the same approach Ford did when they ripped the soul out of the Mustang and put the corporate Aston Martin front end on it. The Camaro (and Mustang, for that matter) and Corvette are the iconic vehicles - they need their own identity, not a corporate front end. Please GM gods if you're listening - do not put a corporate front end on our iconic vehicle!

I don't think there are any hidden messages in there. I think we are just seeing a few of the many design exercises that are just that. Everything thus far has pointed to an evolution of the current design.
I agree. The styling leaves a lot to be desired. The new Stang blends in with everything else in the Ford line up now. |

Is That Background A Possible 6th Gen
Hot Off The Press... something of interest. You decide….. Is this a possible 6th Gen Camaro rendering in the background to the bottom right of the GM press Photo. The likely it being something is a possible No as GM always reviews photos before they are released.worth a second look.

Well, they're probably concepts.
