What bothers me about this is that it says "For Dry sump Engines"

Then it proceeds to list compatible engines. The LT1 in the SS is listed as is the LT4 in the CTS-V.

But, does not directly mention the ZL1.

Weird, the LT1 in the SS is not a dry sump system. It is a wet sump like our ZL1. Also the LT4 in the CTS-V is also a wet sump system.

So, I would have to assume that if this pump works on a CTS-V with the LT4, it would work on the ZL1.

Just kind of bugs me that it isn't spelled out.

As an engineer (albeit in the computer field), I hate seeing tech docs that are vague and/or incomplete.

The oil pump Katech has is for the dry sump. Our ZL1 is a wet sump pump. It doesn't work with our system. They have said that they are working on a wet sumo version but have yet to release it.

Understood, but you see my issue with that article.

If this pump is for a dry sump only system, why did they mention Camaro SS and CTS-V are compatible? Neither of those cars have a dry sump system.

This was kind of the point of my rant...
