Chevrolet Autocross Calibration

So, if this is installed on a camaro when/how does it work? The dealerships have absolutely no idea so looking for someone that understands it. Does it replace all the previously set differential settings and its the default for all modes (track, sport, tour, etc)? Does it add a setting that can be selected?

Any input is appreciated.

I installed that calibration file some time ago.
Not sure since then they came out with another file but can tell you that it is minor differences. I found it to allow me to rotate the car mid turn a little more.

No sure if this was any help.

It works only in track, maybe sport (?) and all Nannie’s off. And under 100 mph. It doesn’t replace anything nor is there a selection added in settings. All other modes and ptm functions work normally as intended with Nannie’s on. It locks up EDiff faster on turn in and unlocks it faster on corner exit to rotate car better in tight autocross turns. Appears to work best with stock staggered tires.

Thank you, this helps, so it looks like its turned on by taking TCS and stabilitrak off. Anyone know if it works in any mode with those things off, or does it only work in a particular mode.

Only with mode in track, maybe sport ,tcs and stabilitrac off. Gm didn’t want it to interfere with the modes as programmed . Now I think you can still go into settings and tailor those as desired, but mode selection has to be those to and will not work with any other modes or ptm

Cost used to be 350 all inclusive but one guy recently in SF area paid 730 as dealer wasn’t pricing right. Or maybe now they changed it? Who knows.

Yes, the calibration only works will everything off. It does not work with any other nanny setting as it is an afterthought calibration and the amount of work to revalidate all the eDiff settings would have taken some time and manpower that GM didn't want to spare. The calibration is designed for low speed, autocross type stuff, so it's not as helpful if you plan to mostly track with the car. Another thing to note that might effect your decision to add this to your car, with SCCA this calibration will push you into Street Prepared or above classing as it's not a legal modification for Street class.

My guess is he'd be taking it to CAM.

If you do it, let me know before you do anything else so we can maybe do some back to back with and without?

I've had it for a few years now. It makes the eDiff more consistent in tight corners, unlocks faster on turn-in to reduce understeer and locks quickly on throttle to enhance rotation and allow you to get to WOT faster.

It's intended for 200tw autox tires and you'll probably want a stiffer front bar and an aggressive alignment at a minimum.

Only works in Track mode with all nannies off. So AFAIK you can run in sport with all nannies off and custom set driving modes, then you could run without it, but the throttle pedal calibration will be different.

Sport throttle pedal calibration is crap for modulating out of tight turns IME. That progressive throttle (regressive actually, but I digress) is pretty terrible.
