Paint problem ... looks like a pimple
Hi All,
I noticed on my Camaro a little paint issue. First I thought it's a very small chip which is not the case. The paint problem looks like a pimple. I can live with one of these but hopefully they are not suddenly showing up all over the place. I will try to take a pic that you can get any idea. Any thoughts?

yep
If the bubble moves when you press on it then it will eventually rub off. If it is solid you should be ok. Lots of things can cause spongy paint. From brake fluid spilling on paint to faulty paint prep at the factory. Take it back to the dealer so they will have a record of this for future warranty work. |

Where is this problem located ?? A picture would certainly help.
Back when I had one of my 5th gens. I had something similar on my rear bumper cover. Ended up some plastic piece underneath the cover wasn't trimmed properly at the factory and was protruding into the bumper cover and looked like a pimple. The dealer body shop trimmed the piece and was able to carefully heat up the bumper cover and got it to relax and go back being flat, all without having to repaint the bumper cover. |

That's how mine looked like (maybe a tad bigger) on my '13 rear bumper cover...I'm guessing from your picture looks like it's in the A-pillar? If so...that's probably a defect in the paint, or under it. How are these making it thru Q-control at the factory?

I have one in the laser weld on the roof, driver side. It's very difficult to notice unless you're looking at the weld. Looks like an air bubble in the clear though, little bit different than those defects.
