Cars & Coffee

How many of you go to these in your Cities? I'm going to try to go for the first time and would like some tips as far as parking next to other ZL1's and what is the typical duration of the meets.

There cool to attend.

I've been to a half dozen or so in SoCal.

They start around 6am and go for 2-4hrs.

There's always some idoit guy who like to show off by doing burn outs near the parking lot. I usually leave before it ends to avoid that crap.

Enjoy. It's cool to see all the other cars. The ZL1 does get respect from most car peeps at the shows.

I go every couple of months or so. The ZL1 definitely draws attention. Cops keep a close eye on the one here in Plano, so burnouts lead directly to tickets.

I always go. It's nice to get to see other nice cars and talk to enthusiasts. Mine is from 7-9. That's how most are

My club has them once a month up until November. Also, the local marina in my area has them every Sunday starting in mid October. I like the c&c's at the marina, and I've taken my ZL to a couple of them, even in cool weather; No sweat.

I attend them all the time, they're a lot of fun and it's a reason to be up and out on the weekends. My area does them 8-10 at a local race track and there's also Lingenfelter C&C at their Wixom MI headquarters.

Here's a few shots from the latest I went to with my Dad (He's got the V)

Thanks, It was my first Big Eye measuring 71" long by 50" girth. The formula says it weighs 222 lbs. I think it took exactly 1 hour to reel in with a stand up 2 speed 80. I caught an 80 lb yellow fin about a half hour after that last fall. This year 2 trips and no tuna so far. Next weekend is my last trip. This one is 3 days.

Our local formula is last Sunday of every month, from 10:00am for a couple of hours, park wherever you can, come and go as you please. In good weather we can expect 400-500 vehicles on average, may be 700 on a big day, 10 if raining persistently.

I'm sure you'll do well. We just had a new moon, but it looks like every weekend for the rest of the month will be fair.
