Hit A PotHole

Hit a pothole on my way into work this morning while taking a new route, smacked down pretty hard to where my bottom scraper thing (have no idea what that's called) came a loose. so now it's just hanging from the bottom of my car. can I just reattach it with any kind of screw? or is there something specific? thanks

Where is this "bottom scraper thing" located? Is it under the front bumper or actually under the car? There are multiple "scraper things" under the car and I'm trying to figure out which one it is, lol.

Was it a pot hole like on the Dukes of Hazzard....

I would think you would need to look at it and see if or how bad it was damaged, can get fasteners if needed easily enough.

Yep, this question can only be answered from under the car, not this side of the keyboard.

I think it's called a stone guard. It's supposed to deflect rocks from the car's undercarriage.

No I think it protects the cars stones...

if you take it off and something hits your stones then the power will be reduced and your exhaust will sound higher pitched for a while.

in West Virginia we call these the actual roads, we have pot holes and then we have poorly patched pot hole/craters. it seems we have no money to fix roads right around here, makes me shake my head in disbelief.
