if it's a steady on light then it's most like an emissions problem. first thing to check is that your gas cap is on tight. from there it could be dozens of things and you'll need to get the code(s) pulled.
if that light is blinking, then you have a misfire and need to stop driving the car. |

....If it's stays solid, I just ignore it...It should go away on it's own....New throttle body?....Just make sure all the clamps and screws are tight so there's no air leak...
....They take a while to come on...and even if the "issue" is fixed, they take a while to go off...(The owner's manual even says it's usually the gas cap...just wait a while and it will go off)....As long as the car runs smooth and feels ok, no biggie... |

I had this happen on my XLR. It turned out to be a loose gas cap. I stopped the car and then opened up the gas cap. I then replaced it making sure that it was closed and on correctly. I then let the car sit overnight. After when I started up the car the next day the light had reset itself. Also the car ran well leading me to believe it was the cap. I suspected the cap because it was just after I had gotten gas that the light came on.
Good Luck. I hope that it is nothing serious and only something minor. |

Throttle Body? Most likely the clamp(s) on the air intake came loose and theres an air leak causing the car to run lean.

I just had this after my TB install (50 miles after). Disconnect your battery for a little while. I did for a thirty minutes. Cut your car back on after this and let it idle for five minutes or so. Your OBD2 should have learned the new TB by then. Hope this helps!
