Help me find my dad's old car
So way back in the day, my dad had a 1973 Mustang Mach 1 Canary Yellow, Black stripes, catalytic converter etc etc
And later he had a red 1992 Corvette So...how would i be able to find who owns these cars now or where they are? do i just go to the dmv and give them his name so they track the car's record? |

what would be required at a minimum would be the VIN. once you got that, then the search can go forward. without it, you are just shooting in the dark.

You're going to have two problems even knowing the VIN:
1. Most states now limit how many years records are kept. In Indiana they only keep records for 7 years, once they're 8 they are purged. 2. Due to current privacy laws the BMV/DMV can't release any information they may have to you anyway. Anymore you need an "insider" that has access to the info. |
