Nice read!

My dream engine is the 572 big block...I was at Cruise week in Ocean City, MD last year and saw a 60's Camaro with one stuffed in the engine bay...my god, lol

I had a professionaly built and blueprinted 427 I put in my 73 Z-28 back in 92 after I graduated from college. It produced 732 HP and 850 lb/ft torque at the crank N/A with an eldebrock tunnel ram, 2 holley dominators and the magic came from dart heads, man they flowed and a comp roller cam. It was a torque monster which shredded two 12 bolt rear ends finally had to put a dana rear end in it. It was a street car but and heated up so on the street even with a custom radiator built for it so I ended up putting a stroked 350 in it which had plenty of power just not the torque but boy she would turn 6500 rpms in no time probably because I did a little sanding on the bearings when assembling to make it lose, lol. All in all you could not mess with a big block car back then just too much power.
