Would you consider it a downgrade?

I have a 2011 1LT non RS with 6800 miles on it. A local dealership has a 2010 2SS/RS M6 with 26k miles on the lot. If I traded for it would you consider it a downgrade since it's a year lower and more miles or an upgrade because it has more options plus the V8?

Gee , why do you worry about what others think about it , if it is what you want [power ] and the car is in good shape , take the best deal you can and go for it , be very careful with the car that you want [ you don't know who did what to it ] you have to see it without emotional interest , open your eyes wide open and ask a friend to show you what you can't see in the car

You could over-look the miles, if it's in excellent shape...For sure make sure it's still under warranty...

With the '13s looking still basically the same, I wouldn't worry about the year...and oh, yeah, the price is important too!...lol

Sim, that is an upgrade I would think. More power, 2ss will have better interior, halo lights etc....

27k is not a bad price, just make sure the previous owner did not tear it up.

Yeah I would need to go look at it. Only thing I have to do is convince my Dad that trading for the SS is not a downgrade haha he wants me to trade it for a 2012 Crystal Red 1LT ever since he saw that color

Make sure you look it over, check over the car, tires, service records, see if any mods were done. See if you can figure out why it was traded in.

Get the dealership to flash the computer to see if it has had a tune before. If its been tuned it means that the last person to have it, used it like it should be used. look under the rear end for signs of rubber indicating burn outs. Make the dealership do a complete fluid swap as part of the purchase as well. I am sure if you ask the dealer that they will tell you that the last owner was a 200 year old grandmother that was trying to relive her youth but just couldnt handle the power. Other than that and the other comments, its an upgrade for sure.

That is actually a great idea, make them change oil, clutch/brake, differential fluid, with that mileage basically the 30K mile check up but on their bill.
